Catalina Lutheran Church is a confessional, evangelical, highly liturgical member congregation of the English District of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. God’s gifts are received by those whom He calls and gathers, that He might enlighten them with His Word. Weekly Divine Services are the means He uses to offer His gifts of forgiveness, life, and salvation in our midst. First time visitors, who desire to receive the Sacrament of the Altar, are asked to please speak with Pastor, an Elder, or a Lay Deacon before the Lord’s service starts. Those who hold to a confession of the Faith other than that which is rightly taught from the inspired Scriptures and the biblically illumined “Book of Concord of 1580,” are welcome to receive a reminder (the sign of the cross) of God’s baptismal blessings for them during the administration of the Sacrament of the Altar. This practice reveals that all are welcome in the Lord’s Services, while respecting and honoring differences in confessions of the Faith.
