Christ Lutheran Church
As members of the Lutheran Church Missouri-Synod, Christ Lutheran is a congregation of disciples called through Baptism, united by Christ’s Body and Blood, trusting in God’s inspired and inerrant Word, receiving God’s gifts of Word and Sacrament through liturgical worship, then serving and telling others the good news of Christ crucified and risen for the life of the world.
When you visit, you may expect to find pastors, elders, and acolytes vested in albs, the Celebrant wearing a chasuble, and the deaconess (serving as organist) wearing a veil. Feast Days are observed with Gospel Processions, and Communion (closed) is offered every Sunday as well as weekdays when major Feasts are observed (Christmas, Epiphany, Maundy Thursday, Easter Vigil, etc). All hymns, liturgies, and rites come from the Lutheran Service Book (CPH, 2006).
