St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brookfield, IL
Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod / by Kevin Koester / 874 views
We welcome you to visit us if you are new to the inner-western side of the Chicago metropolitan area or just passing through. St. Paul’s was organized as a confessional congregation in Brookfield, Illinois, in 1902, our school opened in 1903, and we strive to maintain the heritage passed down to us still today. We use the liturgy of TLH, the 1943 translation of the Catechism, and solid Lutheran hymns. We offer daily chapel on school days, teach Latin in our classical school, and work hard to keep the focus of all we do upon Christ crucified. We practice closed Communion, and we ask all visitors to let a deacon or our pastor know of your desire to commune prior to the service. We meet for Bible study following the 9:00am Sunday service and at 6:00pm on Wednesdays before the 7:30 service.
