St. Peter Lutheran Church, Saint Joseph, MO
Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod / by Richard Cody / 500 views
St. Peter Lutheran Church equips all its members to know what they believe and why they believe it, so that whether next door or across the world, we countermand our age of anti-truth with a firm trust in the Words and Sacraments of Jesus Christ. St. Peter is a church where we take seriously the needs of our community and try to serve to the best of our abilities. If this is what you’re looking for then this is the community of faith is for you! Come and see!
Worship is about the Church coming into the presence of God the Father to receive His gifts of forgiveness, life, and salvation through Christ and in the Spirit. In response to the Father’s goodness toward us in Christ and prompted by His Spirit, we extol the Father through the Son and in the Spirit.
At St. Peter we use the historic liturgy of the Church which is nothing less than the pure Word of God read, chanted, spoken and sung throughout the service. Each part of the liturgy is a carefully chosen piece of Scripture that leads us in our reception of the gifts of God. The more you love God’s Word… the more you will love the historic liturgy of the Church!
