Our area is also a popular retirement location as well as an emerging area for working families with telecommuting jobs to enjoy the northwoods or start their own business. Let us be your faithful Lutheran congregation on vacation, retirement, or during your working years. Additionally if you are looking to leave a larger metro area, we urge you to investigate whether our area of Boulder Junction/Manitowish Waters, Wisconsin would work for you as a retiree, a telecommuter, or as a household that would find the north woods compatible.
As a member congregation of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod (LCMS) we hold to the Holy Scriptures as the inspired and errorless Word of God, and acknowledge that the Scriptures are the sole source of teaching in the Church. We hold to the Lutheran Confessions as a faithful summary and application of the Scriptures as authoritative creedal authority. We stand out as a traditional, liturgical and doctrinally steadfast congregation amid the cultural trends against Christianity. We are pro-life, uphold a biblical view of creation, uphold biblical natural marriage for one man and one woman, and understand gender according to Scripture as binary (male or female only). We understand that Christians confess the faith in a fallen world to reach out with the Word of salvation in Christ to deliver the forgiveness of sins to sinners. We desire to be light in the darkness of a dying world even the beauty of the north woods. Within our own church body we desire to remain steadfast to the classic Lutheran ways that the founders of our synod promoted – Bible, catechism, reverent traditional liturgy, the holy sacraments, classic Lutheran hymns, the life of prayer, reaching out with the Law and Gospel of God. Rather than seeking to “get with the times” we seek to be in the unchanging truth of God which abides into eternity. At Trinity you’ll find the Bible, Catechism, and hymnal thoroughly used in our life together in Christ. We believe the historic liturgy and faithful body of hymns from our Lutheran heritage best reflect what we receive from Holy Scripture and confess in our Lutheran Confessions, the Book of Concord. We believe these are assets for the faithful proclamation of the Gospel to all because they confess the changeless and universal faith that we have received from the faithful who have gone before us and confessed the apostolic faith.
